About Cullingworth Counselling
Welcome to Cullingworth Counselling. I'm James, your accepting, empathic counsellor here to support you in navigating the complexities of life. My mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences. I understand that seeking help is a courageous step, and I am here to walk alongside you on your journey towards healing and personal growth. With a focus on building a trusting relationship, I strive to empower you to make meaningful changes in your life. My approach is rooted in empathy, respect, and a deep understanding of the challenges you face.
I have a level 4 qualification in Person Centred Counselling, am a Certified CBT Practitioner and have training in DBT, Addiction and Transactional Analysis.
Don't let the counselling jargon discourage you though, it's just the way we describe the tools and methods we choose to use where needed. Your counselling sessions are exactly that - yours. You choose what we work on and how we work.
I am a registered member of the BACP, and work under their ethical framework to ensure I can provide you with the highest standard of support.
I prefer a down to earth, straight forward approach in a relaxed atmosphere so we can focus on you and what you want to bring to the sessions. No ego's, no judgements, just two people working together to get you where you want to go......
Im happy to see you in person, but can also do online if you'd prefer. Alternatively, we can arrange sessions outside, walking in the beautiful countryside around Cullingworth.
